Restoring Lives and Rebuilding Futures

YAYA'S REENTRY CENTER

Yaya’s Reentry Center creates Second Chances

Yaya’s Reentry Center is more than housing. It is a structured reentry program built around healing and accountability. We combine a stable home environment with case management, life-skills development, employment readiness, and access to mental health support.

The Challenge

Reentry is challenging. National research and common reentry experience show that returning citizens often face a stack of barriers at the exact moment stability matters most. Even when someone is motivated, the path can be blocked by lost identification, employment gaps, housing restrictions, and untreated trauma or mental illness.

Barriers to Reentry

  • Employment barriers including background checks, limited work history, and lack of training.

  • Housing barriers including affordability, screening policies, and limited safe options.

  • Mental health needs including trauma, mood disorders, co-occurring conditions, and limited access to care.

  • Stigma that can isolate people from opportunity and support.

We do not publish unverified impact numbers on this page. Instead, we track outcomes internally and publish verified metrics when ready

Our Methods for Successful Reintegration

Structured housing

The core offering is transitional housing in an accountability-based environment. Capacity is stated as 100 beds. Length of stay is open and guided by progress.

Mental support pathway

The model includes counseling support and a pathway for mental health support and psychiatric care integration as part of the long-term vision.

Case management

Residents begin with intake and assessment, then receive an individualized plan. Case management includes check-ins, progress reviews, and practical next steps.

Life skills training

Life skills include financial literacy, conflict resolution, communication skills, and time management.

Workforce focus

We offer job training and employment readiness programs to equip individuals with the skills and confidence needed to secure meaningful employment.

Transportation and referrals

Transportation assistance supports appointments and employment. Community referrals support recovery, housing search, and other essential needs.

Participants do not pay for the program. Yaya’s Reentry Center is structured to be free to participants.

About

Structured Transitional Housing With Integrated Support

Yaya’s Reentry Center was founded in 2025 in Florida to give formerly incarcerated individuals a real second chance. The name “Yaya” is deeply personal to our Founder. Her mother called her Yaya, and she now calls her second daughter Yaya as well. The name represents love, strength, legacy, and the belief that transformation is possible with the right structure and support.

Vision and inspiration

Our Founder has seen how untreated mental health conditions, unstable housing, and lack of structure can contribute to repeated justice involvement. Yaya’s Reentry Center was created to break cycles with a healing-focused model that combines accountability with compassion.
